...the "three-chord" stigma of the modern college rock scene. Fluid, catchy guitars
and intense vocals and lyrics deliver without over-simplicity. Their sound has been compared to Alice in Chains and
Soundgarden, but remains true to themselves. "I just can't believe the energy and feeling that comes from their music," says
Tony Speciale of Rock n' Roll Reporter.
A.M. Prophecy emerged in late 1992 and has since recorded two CD's, drawing the attention of local rock station 97QWK ROCK. The
station's interest culminated with the band's inclusion on QWK ROCKS's latest compilation CD, "On The Forefront." Material from
the band's CD "abrAsion" appears on QWK ROCK as well as Pittsburgh rock stations WDVE, WRRK, and WXDX.
State College, PA (home of Penn State University) offers many opportunities, of which the band took full advantage. As word
spread, growing crowds at bars, fraternities and outdoor festivals watched them become a pillar of the local college band scene.
In spring 1994, A.M. Prophecy performed at PSU's "Movin' On" sharing the bill with national act Belly and again in 1995 with
Helmet. These appearances have led to many local opportunities; however, with higher goals in mind, the band refuses to be
satisfied.
While continuing to write new music, A.M. Prophecy seeks the support of a record label who will value their dedication and
commitment to a music career.
